Independent ReadingThe best way for your child to become a better reader is to read more. Your child should be reading regularly at home (about 15 minutes per day). The book your child chooses should be one they can read without much help.
Build your child's stamina for reading (ability to read without being distracted or distracting others) by starting with 8 minutes a day for a few days, then increasing to 10 minutes a day, then eventually to 15 as your child has success. |
